Efficient and future-oriented: Sustainability at Achilles

"Our fate depends not on the stars, but on our actions." (William Shakespeare)

This is also part of our modern tasks to fulfil the current demands: We are committed to reducing our energy consumption in the long term and increasing energy efficiency through a process of continuous improvement.

How do we accomplish this? We introduced a binding system for sustainability and improved energy management back in 2012 and had it certified according to DIN EN ISO 50001. The system was continuously improved and expanded in the years that followed.

This codified policy of sustainability is a top priority for us - in all areas of the company.

An example: Back in 2014, all energy-intensive neon tubes were replaced with economical and sustainable LED lamps This project has already significantly reduced energy consumption.

A year later, investments were made in energy-saving technology for machine cooling and a large heat recovery system in the screen printing area.

But this was just the beginning. Further projects to reduce energy consumption and consequently become a character of the sustainable corporate structure are already being planned.
